Sewage Treatment Plant

  • Sewage on sea is generally the waste produced from toilets, urinals and scuppers. The rules say that the sewage is to be discarded into the sea water after it is treated, with the distance of the ship being 4 nautical miles from the nearest land
  • Discarding sewage produced on board is one of the few tasks that is essential to avoid a heavy fine
